Lenape Village Cultural Festival at Core Creek Park

Autumn is a time many of us associate with the Native American peoples of our country. The Churchville Nature Center would like to invite you to come and connect first-hand with the Lenape people who have called Bucks County home for centuries, as well as their fellow Native American neighbors from around the country at our first ever Lenape Village Cultural Festival at Core Creek Park.

The nature center’s Lenape Village will be on display teaching about the life of the Lenape in the 1500’s prior to European contact. Topics such as family life, clothing, games, fire making, crafts and more will be covered. Also present will be local Lenape, Cherokee, Lakota, Seneca, Osage and many more Native Americans who will share their culture, dances, food and much more, including inviting the public to do social dancing with them. There will be games & crafts for the kids, hands-on activities, vendors and hayrides throughout the day.
