Excessive Heat Warning for Upper Southampton

High temperatures and humidity will make it dangerous to be out in the sun for long this weekend.

Upper Southampton and all of Lower Bucks County is under an excessive heat watch from Saturday morning through Sunday evening, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures in the low- to mid-90s combined with dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s will make is feel like it's 100 degrees outside.

Overnight temperatures will fall only into the low- to mid-70s.

The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity create a dangerous situation in which heat-related illnesses are possible, the Weather Service says.

Safety tips include:

  • Drink plenty of fluids
  • Stay out of the sun and in air conditioning
  • Check on neighbors and relatives
