Southampton Days: Saturday's Entertainment

The 2013 Southampton Days are here, starting from July 1 and running through July 6.

Each day brings live musical acts and entertainment. According to Andrew Pickford, Southampton Days Committee member and organizer of the bands, the musical acts are a popular staple of the Southampton Days County Fair.

On most days, the public may attend two musical acts either at the Lion’s Grove and the Midway Stage, both located on the fair grounds at 1255 Second St. Pike in Southampton (between Tamanend Park and Klinger Middle School), unless otherwise stated.

The following is the schedule of music and live entertainment, according to the calendar on www.southamptondays.com.

July 1

• “Doris Simon Swing Band” — at the Lion’s Grove, from 7 – 8:30 p.m.

• “The Rockets” — at the Midway Stage, from 8:30 – 10 p.m.

July 2

• “Warminster Symphony Orchestra” — at the Lion’s Grove, from 7 – 8:30 p.m.

• “Entrance Band” — at the Midway Stage, from 8:30 – 10 p.m.

July 3

• “Fourth-Annual Talent Show” — taking place from 6:30 – 9:30 p.m. Back by popular demand, local performers will compete in the talent show. 

July 4

• “Bonehead” — taking place at the Midway Stage, from 7:30 – 10 p.m.

• “Daisy Jug Band” — at Klinger Field Stage, from 7:30 – 9:30 p.m. 

July 5

• “Southampton Community Band” — taking place at Lion’s Grove, from 7 – 8:30 p.m.

• “Lost Pint” — taking place at the Midway Stage, from 8:30 – 10 p.m. 

July 6

• “The Joey Presley Band” — taking place at the Lion’s Grove, from 7 – 8:30 p.m.

• “Evolution” — taking place at the Midway Stage, from 8:30 – 10 p.m.
