Picture Perfect Weather Through Wednesday in Southampton, Says NWS

The National Weather Service says the mild temperatures will linger until mid-week.

The surprisingly temperate middle-of-summer weather we have been experiencing lately looks like it is here to stay for a bit longer, according to the National Weather Service.  

The NWS forecast calls for clear, sunny skies in Southampton through Wednesday.

Here's a detailed look at the NWS' forecast for the week ahead in Southampton: 

  • Tuesday: Sunny, with a high near 83. Northwest wind around 8 mph.
  • Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 63. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84. Calm wind becoming south around 6 mph in the afternoon.
  • Wednesday Night: A chance of showers, mainly after 2 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 66. South wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
  • Thursday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
  • Thursday Night: Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before midnight, then a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 67. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
  • Friday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.
  • Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 66.
  • Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.
