Weekend Planner: Celebrate Celtic Heritage

Check out these exciting events taking place in our area this weekend.

With temps making their way back to more manageable low to mid-80s this weekend, it’s the perfect weather to get out, enjoy some Irish dancing, storytelling, or a movie under the stars. Here are some options.

 

Where/when: Southampton Community Center, 913 Willow St., Southampton, Friday at 1 p.m.

Why go: Enjoy a game (or two) of B-I-N-G-O.

Cost: Free

Where/when: , 859 County Line Road, Horsham, Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Why go: See the sights,  and hear the music during the 16th annual Celtic Heritage Festival.

Cost: $10 for adults, $5 for youth, $30 for family 

 

Where/when: , 500 Blair Mill Road, Horsham, Saturday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Why go: Eat, drink and hear “Elvis” sing during this benefit for the Warminster Volunteer Ambulance Corps.

Cost: $40 per person

Where/when: , 32 N. York Road, Hatboro, Friday at 6:30 p.m. for music, food and drink (movie will begin around sundown).

Why go: Roll out your blanket, or unfold your lawn chair and watch “The Princess Bride” with the community on the church’s front lawn.

Cost: Free 

Where/when: , 3500 Masons Mill Road, Huntingdon Valley, Sunday at 10 a.m. 

Why go: This sport combines ping pong, tennis and badminton and requires little athleticism.
