Pet of the Week: Holly

This week's featured adoptable pet is Holly, a Rottweiler mix.

This week's featured pet comes from the Women's Humane Society in Bensalem.

Holly is a Rottweiler mix who was surrendered to the shelter with her five puppies after her owner passed away. Holly's puppies have all been adopted, but now it's time for her to find a home.

She is a relatively small Rottweiler, weighing only 51 pounds. She is also house broken, so the new owner wouldn't have to spend time training her.

Holly is a watch dog and has protective tendencies, but she is a loving dog, according to Kelly VanValkenburgh, the shelter's volunteers manager and adoptions counselor. She's playful and will fit best in a home that has children above the age of 12.

To adopt Holly, a donation of $157 is suggested, which includes a fee to have her spayed. Additional blood tests, microchipping and other preventative treatments are available, but would increase the adoption amount.
