Thank you Lu. You are absolutely correct! A complete review must be done by every driver renewing their license! There is no accountability to being on the roads! Get your picture taken, fill out a form, and you are good to go once again. There must be new laws put in place. Thank you for your kind words..... our family is devastated and this loss has ruined our family. We will never be the same…   more ›

My prayers and sympathy go to that young mans family and his girlfriend. Several off my friends and coworkers travel that road every week. I never thought of it as an unsafe road but that's just my ignorance. It's very open and the speed limit is 45 so it's common to see people doing 55 even 60.   more ›

Elderly Driver Sends Parked Car into Home

Rescue workers extricated a 94-year-old driver from his car after he struck a car parked in a driveway on Willopenn Drive with such force, it bounced off of the house before coming to rest approximately 40 feet from where it was originally parked.

Robert Sly said he was standing in the breezeway of his home on Willopenn Drive when he heard a rumbling noise around 1 p.m. on Wednesday afternoon. "I looked out the window from across the room to see what it was, and saw what looked like dust," he said. "Next thing I know, everything in the room was flying past me. It was like something out of the movies."  When the dust settled, Sly went outside. He said could not believe what he saw. His car, originally parked in the driveway, was now some 40 feet away on the lawn, his house was smashed and a car had crashed head-on into his tree. Phillyburbs.com reports that the driver, 94-year-old Stanley Stevens, was driving an unregistered car on a suspended license when he lost control, traveled …

This has nothing to do with having a license or not. This guy had NO LICENCE, and was driving an unregistered vehicle. The question is will he get leniency for his illegal act because of his age. The week before it was a hit and run. If I did this I'd probably arrested and locked up!   more ›

I have known this woman for most of my life. She was a dear friend of my mother who passed away several years ago. Joe's comment is unnecessary and offensive to those who knew her. I hope her grieving family didn't have to see it.
