Bassinets Recalled Due to Fall Hazard
Kolcraft is voluntarily recalling several models of bassinets due to a faulty locking mechanism.
About 46,000 Kolcraft Tender Vibes & Light Vibes bassinets are being voluntarily recalled under the guidance of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission. The bassinetts were sold by mass market and independent juvenile specialty stores nationwide and online from July 2008 through May 2012 for between about $50 and $100. The latches that attach the bassinet base onto the metal frame can appear to be locked in place but still remain unlocked. This allows the bassinet to become detached from the metal frame, causing the bassinet to fall and the infant to be injured.
