Board of Elections Resolves Voting Machine Malfunction at Davis
Some voters who reside in Upper Southampton's North 3 voting district were forced to wait a little longer than this morning to cast their ballots, after one of the two voting machines at their polling place malfunctioned.
A voting machine malfunctioned soon after the polls opened Tuesday morning at Davis Elementary School. “There was just a glitch,” said Kevin Kennedy, the judge of elections at the polling location. “Someone pressed the wrong button and the machine locked up.” The problem occurred with a machine recording votes for the North 3 district. That region is comprised of voters residing in the northwest portion of Upper Southampton, bordering of both Northampton and Warminster Townships. Kennedy said a representative from the Bucks County Board of Elections was called in to resolve the problem, and the machine was back in service within an hour.
