The Friends of Tamanend Park discussed a renewed commitment to their membership at their annual New Year's Brunch this weekend.
Members of the Friends of Tamanend Park held their annual New Year’s Brunch Sunday afternoon. About 40 members turned out for the catered event held in the park’s carriage house. This year, the group has decided to place a renewed focus on attaining new members. “It’s a great organization and we are always looking for more volunteers,” said Vice Chairperson Andy Pickford, at the event. Pickford said the volunteers play an important role in ongoing beautification efforts of the township's 103-acre park, though fundraising as well as hands-on activities. A family membership costs $10. This fee provides access to the groups monthly meetings and many special events, such as the New Year’s brunch and other picnics, trips and garden tours. The …
