Police charged a juvenile with terroristic threats and possession of a firearm by a minor after the 14-year-old threatened to bring a gun and knives to Council Rock South, police said on Friday. Northampton Township Police received a report on Thursday that a male student threatened to bring a gun and knives into the Council Rock South building and randomly kill students and staff, police said at a press conference at the Northampton Township building. Another student overheard the threat, reported it to his parents, who then notified the authorities, officers confirmed at the press conference. A 16-year-old girl was walking with her friend down Buck Road when she was struck by a car.
Two teenagers were walking on the northbound shoulder of Buck Road between West Village Road and Spring Avenue last night when Council Rock South student Carleigh Jones, 16, from Holland, was hit by a vehicle heading north at about 10:43 p.m, according to police. Jones was walking arm-in-arm with her friend, another 16-year-old. The driver was a 19-year-old from Holland and the car had a 20-year-old passenger, both from Holland. Police have not yet released their names. Upon impact, the driver pulled over immediately and the passenger called 9-1-1. Both waited for medical and police officials to arrive.
