An anonymous donor has given Bucks County Community College $500,000, the largest gift ever received by the college.
Bucks County Community College has received the largest gift in its 49-year history—$500,000 given from an anonymous 1972 alumnus. The benefactor, a Doylestown native, was the first person in his family to attend college, according to BCCC officials. After successfully completing his first semester at BCCC, he was drafted into the Army where he spent the next three years, including one tour in Vietnam. Commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant, the anonymous donor was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for meritorious service. I couldn't agree more...let's help locally with our food drives. Class-Harlan Real Estate is sponsering a Food Drive to benefit the New Britain Food Pantry starting now and ending Dec 20th. A variety of foods are needed as well as personal items such as shampoo, soaps, diapers etc. One great idea is to donate the free items that Genuardi's, Acme, Wegmans are giving out with their weekly coupons …   more ›
