Every month the township's parks and recreation department features a selection for seniors as well as one for families.
Looking for something to do outside of the house without having to spend a fortune? The Upper Southampton Community Center may just have the ticket. The community center offers free movies to seniors and families during the first week of each month. The films are shown at 1 p.m. on the first Thursday for seniors and at 7 p.m. on the first Saturday of the month for families. All of the films are presented in the community center gymnasium. The screenings are free of charge and popcorn and water are provided. For April, the film selections are a follows: On Thursday, April 3, seniors are invited to view The Outlaw Josie Wales. On Saturday, April 6, families are invited to view The Indian in the Cupboard.

The PetSmart in Warminster is holding two free dental health events this weekend.
Dental disease is a common condition, affecting the health of many dogs and cats across the United States. However, experts say it is also a disease that is easy to recognize and prevent. PetSmart is offering Pet Dental Checkup Days – a free, in-store event where pet parents can learn how to best care for their pet’s oral health. The Warminster PetSmart, located at 934 Street Road, will host Pet Dental Checkup Days Event on Saturday, March 2 and Sunday, March 3 from 2 to 4 p.m. Pet parents will receive a free dental checkup from a Banfield Pet Hospital veterinary technician as well as coupons for GREENIES Brand Dental Chews and Treats.

Several local retailers will be giving away a free cup o' joe on Friday and Saturday.
This week is National Coffee Week and Saturday is National Coffee Day. In celebration, several retailers are giving away free coffee. McDonald's is currently offering free, small servings of their Premium Roast Coffee. They will continue the promotion though Saturday. On Friday, 7-Eleven will be giving away free 20-ounce cups from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. The convenience store chain has taken the idea one step further with their coinciding '7-Election' promotion. Customers will be asked to choose between an Obama or a Romney coffee cup. You can view the results of the informal coffee poll online.

Today, 7-Eleven is giving out free slurpees.
In honor of 7-Eleven's 84th birthday, the convenience store will be giving out free slurpees. “Slurpee-brations” and 7-Eleven birthday parties will be held at select stores with music, entertainment, prizes and food sampling, and Slurpee-mobiles will provide free samples at select 7-Eleven stores across the country, according to a press release issued by 7-Eleven. Today only, 7.11-ounce slurpees will be free while supplies last. According to the release, 7-Eleven stores across the U.S. and in Cananda will be giving away up to 5 million slurpees.
