Armed Robbery Probed at Huntingdon Valley Citgo Station

Police were seen searching the area surrounding the gas station with flashlights at 11:20 p.m. Saturday.

The CITGO gas station at the corner of Huntingdon Pike and Byberry Roads in Lower Moreland Township was robbed just after 10 p.m. this evening, according to multiple sources.    Montco Alerts tweeted that police are searching for a 20 to 25-year-old white male who is approximately 5-foot-8 and of medium build with a goatee. Earlier scanner reports said that at time of the incident the robber was wearing a black mask with a white hoodie, blue jeans and had a black semi-automatic handgun.  Check back for updates as Patch follows this developing story.

Man Injured at Pistol Range

Reports say a man received a gun shot wound to his head and powder burns to his hands following a handgun mishap.

Upper Southampton Police are investigating an incident at a local pistol range. Sources report a 56-year-old man took a bullet to the head, following a handgun malfunction at the Classic Pistol Indoor Range just after 1 p.m. this afternoon. Staff at the range, located at 1310 Industrial Highway, would only say the incident was “completely accidental.” There is no report on the injured man’s condition at this time. According to their website, Classic Pistol is an indoor shooting range and gun shop that sells guns and accessories and offers firearms training and education. The pistol range remained open for business though the investigation, with several people waiting to either purchase weapons or shoot firearms in the available shooting …
