Pistol Range Incident Deemed Weapon Malfunction
Upper Southampton Police said the injuries a target shooter sustained Sunday afternoon were due to recycled ammunition.
Upper Southampton Police have completed their investigation into an incident at a local gun range Sunday afternoon. A member of the Classic Pistol Indoor Range, located on Industrial Boulevard, was injured when the assault rifle he was firing at the range malfunctioned just after 1 p.m. Police said the call was dispatched as a gun shot wound, as the initial reports were that the 56-year-old Yardley man took a bullet to the head. “I think after people realized something had happened, they looked over and saw the blood from his hands and face and thought a bullet had got him,” said Det.
