No Mention of Superintendent on School Board Agenda

The Centennial School Board of Directors is scheduled to meet Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.

The Centennial School Board will meet this evening at 7 p.m. in the board meeting room of the Johnsville Administration Building, 433 Centennial Road, in Warminster. There are several items up for discussion on the lengthy meeting agenda, including the approval of various trips and the removal of the Log College Middle School tennis courts.  However, it should be noted that the agenda does not include discussion about Superintendent of Schools Dr. Jennifer Cressman's contract.  Can't make the meeting? As always, the district invites those who are unable to attend to watch the proceedings broadcast live on public access television or over the Internet via the district’s website.   Click here to view the full meeting agenda.

Hundreds Gather for Concerned Gun Owners of Bucks County Meeting

It was standing-room only at the VFW Post on Louis Drive in Warminster Tuesday evening for the Concerned Gun Owners of Bucks County Meeting.

Hundreds turned out for the second Concerned Gun Owners of Bucks County meeting. For many, it was their first exposure to the group. Several notable Bucks County officials were in attendance at the meeting, including District Attorney David Heckler, Prothonotary Patricia Bachtle and Sheriff Edward Donnelly.   Meeting leader Steve Onufrey said the group was born around a kitchen table by a group of friends talking about the reaction to Sandy Hook. "We are peaceful citizens that believe in the God given right to defend," said Onufrey. "We are standing firm on the second amendment." He said the mission of the group was to educate and inform as well as a call to action. The group met for two hours, including break-out sessions for discussion. …

The idea that a private citizen should be allowed to possess weapons on par with or identical to those used in war is absurd. This is a position that was supported by the 2008 Supreme Court decision on the issue. The district's academic calendar as well as several trips and future assemblies are scheduled to be discussed Tuesday evening.

Digital Signs to be Discussed at Supervisors Meeting

The Upper Southampton Township Board of Supervisors are scheduled to meet Tuesday evening at 7:30 p.m.

The Board of Supervisors will meet Tuesday, Feb. 19, at 7:30 p.m. in the lower level meeting room at the Southampton Free Library. Several topics are on the meeting agenda. Among the items listed, the board will discuss authorizing advertisement of an ordinance establishing regulations for digital signs, as well as discuss the hiring of a planner/consultant to implement portions of the township's comprehensive plan. In addition, the floor will be open for public comment at the beginning of the meeting, and the community is invited to discuss anything that is not on the evening's agenda.

Township Supervisors to Meet Wednesday

The Upper Southampton Township Board of Supervisors will meet on Wednesday, Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m.

The Upper Southampton Township Board of Supervisors will deviate from its regular Tuesday night meeting schedule for the first meeting of this month, due to election day. Instead, supervisors will meet tonight at 7 p.m. in the basement meeting room of the Southampton Free Library. The meeting scheduled for Thursday evening was canceled due to lack of power at the farmhouse.

The Southampton Days meeting scheduled for this evening at the Tamanend Park Farmhouse is canceled due to the ongoing power outage. The next meeting will be on Thursday, December 6.

The board has issued a notice that it will not meet this evening.

The Upper Southampton Township Board of Supervsors Meeting Scheduled for Tuesday, Oct. 2 has been cancelled. The board's next scheduled meeting is Tuesday, October 16 at 7:30 p.m. in the basement of the Southampton Free Library.

Centennial School Board to Meet Monday

In a departure from the normal Tuesday night meeting schedule, the Centennial School Board of Directors will meet this evening at 7 p.m.

The Centennial School Board of Directors will meet Monday evening at 7 p.m. The meeting will be held in the Board Meeting Room at the Johnsville Administration Building, 433 Centennial Drive, in Warminster.  Among several items listed for discussion on the meeting's agenda, the board will consider entering into a rental agreement with the Bucks County Intermediate Unit for classroom space at the new Davis Elementary School.  The board is also set to discuss the pay schedules for game workers and auxiliary positions within the district. I am so infuritated by the Tot Time situation. It was thrown on us, with no warning, at the last minute! And it just reeks of incompetence! This wasn't some surprise situation...they had plenty of time PLENTY OF TIME to get this resolved. And what about the playground that wont arrive until October? Why did the kids have to lose a month of playing time? Why couldn't it have been ordered earlier…   more ›

The Upper Southampton Township Board of Supervisors will not meet Tuesday evening.

The board of supervisors meeting scheduled for Tuesday, September 4, has been canceled. The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 PM in the basement meeting room of the Southampton Free Library.
