Thanksgiving Holiday Pushes Trash Collection to Saturday

Trash and recycling pick up moves to Saturday this week, to account for the holiday.

  There will be no trash collection across the township on Friday due to the Thanksgiving holiday. According to the holiday collection schedule, all trash and recyclables will be collected on Saturday, November 24. Township officials are hopeful that notices posted in several places, including the township website, will help alleviate some of the confusion experienced earlier this year. No Yard Waste Collection on Labor Day

The Labor Day holiday will push back the scheduled collection of yard waste and trash across the township.

If your planning on cleaning up outside this holiday weekend, you will have an extra day to gather your yard waste and haul it to the curb. Due to the Labor Day holiday, yard waste will not be collected on Monday. Instead, yard waste will be collected on Tuesday, Sept. 4 Labor Day is one of six holidays that affects rubbish collection across the township. Next week's trash collection will also be pushed back. Instead of the usual Friday collection, trash and recyclables will be collected in Upper Southampton Township on Saturday, Sept. 8.
