Stolen Checks Under Investigation

Upper Southampton Police report responding to two incidents in the township Thursday.

Information regarding incidents and arrests as reported by the Upper Southampton Police Department: Theft 800 block of W. Maple Drive Thursday, Feb. 28. A resident reported that someone had removed several blank checks from their check book and attempted to cash them for varying amounts between Feb. 4 and Feb. 11. The matter is still under investigation. No loss reported. Wanted Person Street Road and Willopenn Drive Thursday, Feb. 28, 8:38 p.m. A 59-year-old Horsham man was stopped for a traffic violation when it was discovered that he was wanted by the Horsham Township Police for an outstanding arrest warrant for theft. He was turned over to Horsham Police.

Reported yesterday to police mail tampering over the weekend. Financial mail slit on the side we think looking for checks. Fortunately, limited info. was enclosed. Envelopes returned to mailbox. Incident occurred on Buckstone Drive area of township. This occurred Saturday evening.   more ›

Warrant, Vehicle Theft Charges on Street Road

Upper Southampton Police arrested two men in separate incidents on Wednesday.

The following information was supplied by the Upper Southampton Police Department: Arrest: Wanted Person 1700 Street Road Wednesday, Feb. 13, 11:57 a.m. A 28-year-old Fallisington man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for a parole violation. He was turned over to the Bucks County Sherrif's deputies.  Arrest: Theft Street and Davisville Roads Wednesday, Feb. 13, 4:35 p.m. A 24-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly took a car from family members several days earlier. Police said they spotted him driving the car, stopped him and then arrested and charged with theft, receiving stolen property, possession of controlled substances and DUI. He was arraigned and sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility on $50,000 bail.

The following information was provided by the Upper Southampton Township Police Department:   Criminal Mischief 600 block of Second Street Pike Friday, Aug. 12, sometime overnight. Resident reported someone smashed out the driver's side window of their car.   Criminal Mischief 200 block of Kendall Court sometime between Friday Aug. 12 and Sunday, Aug. 14  Resident reported someone slashed two of their car's tires.   Wanted Person 1300 block of Industrial Boulevard Tuesday, Aug. 16, 3:43 a.m. Jose Manfred Ortiz-Giron, 35, no fixed address, was stopped for a traffic offense when it was discovered he was wanted on an outstanding warrant from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
