Empty Suitcases Cause Bomb Scare

A pair of 'suspicious' suitcases left on Street Road in Warminster cause an evacuation Sunday.

Warminster Police responded to a call about a “suspicious person” who allegedly saw two brown suitcases at the rear of 590 West Street Rd., according to police. Officers found the suspicious person, later identified as Gene Anthony Duronslet of Texas, who is wanted out of Bucks County for failure to appear at a court hearing. Duronslet was taken into custody, but provided “very limited information about the suspicious suitcases,” according to a press release. As a precaution, businesses along Street Road and the homes along Olive Avenue were advised to stay inside as shelter or to evacuate the area. The Montgomery County Sheriffs Department Explosive Ordinance Disposal Unit came to clear the scene and found that both suitcases were empty. …

Alleged Suspect in Warminster Shooting in Custody

Jose Delgado faces several charges including discharging a firearm, terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct.

Police say a man who allegedly fired off several shots inside a County Line Road eatery Friday morning has turned himself in. NBC10 reports Jose Delgado, accompanied by his lawyer, surrendered to Warminster Police last night. Delgado faces several charges including discharging a firearm, terroristic threats, simple assault, reckless endangerment and disorderly conduct. He is being held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $500,000 bail. Warminster Police Chief Mike Murphy said Delgado, the former owner of MamaJuana’s Kitchen, entered the restaurant just after 10 a.m. Friday morning and fired four shots from a semi-automatic hand gun at the current owner before fleeing the area.  A preliminary hearing before Magisterial Justice …

Warminster Police Make Arrests Related to Recent Burglaries

Officers have noticed a drop in home invasions after the recent arrests.

Police in Warminster recently took 12 individuals into custody in connection with numerous recent daytime burglaries that – for the most part – have taken place in the neighborhoods west of York Road. Since the arrests have been made, the burglary rate in the township has dropped, police said. A burglary in the 300 block of Hickory Road, which was occupied by an elderly resident, has been connected by investigators to Brandon Ray Lindsey, 18, of Phillips Road, and an unidentified 17-year-old male juvenile, who is also a Warminster resident. Lindsey and the 17-year-old were chased out of the home by the elderly homeowner. The two teens made off with the victim’s credit card and are alleged to have used the card at local stores.
