Where will YOU be celebrating?
We asked Patch users to tell us the best place to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day and here are the choices for the annual wearin’ o’ the green. In Doylestown, MOMs is the place to be. Warminster and Upper Southampton had the same winner – other. Unfortunately, Patch users didn’t tell us their favorite alternative, which elevated the second-place finisher to the top. In Warminster, that meant Kenney’s Madison Tavern and in Upper Southampton, that meant Kenny’s Spirited Eatery. Lower Southampton readers picked Kenny’s, too. It was a tight race over in Hatboro-Horsham with Richies Too finishing with a two-vote advantage over Horsham Inn Tavern and Grill. More than half the voters in Lower Moreland's poll chose Oh! We asked Patch users across the area to pick the best family-friendly restaurant this week. Here’s a look at some of the winners. Warminster Patch users picked Tony’s Place. Almost 140 votes were cast and only six votes separated the top four finishers. In Upper Southampton, only two votes put Applebee's in the top spot over Angelo's Italian Restaurant. The vote was close in Lower Moreland, too, but Huntingdon Valley voters chose Ben and Irv's. It was not-so-close in Lower Southampton as Suburban Diner ended up on top. Folks in Bensalem displayed a hankering for ribs, easily vaulting Smoken Dudes Bar B Que to the top. It was a landslide in Levittown, with almost half of the votes going to Garden of Eatin'. We asked, you answered: Applebee's was voted best family-friendly restaurant in town.
This week we asked you to chime in on your favorite family-friendly restaurant in Southampton. The polls are closed and the votes have been tallied. The winner, claiming 23 out of the 64 total votes is Applebee's. The chain restaurant, located at 1063 Street Rd., offers a special kids menu with smaller portions and an activity book to keep young ones occupied during the wait. The runner up, Angelo's Italian Restaurant, followed close behind with only two less votes than Applebees. Las Margaritas had nine votes. "Other" had eight (Maggio's, and Ristorante Denicola in Richboro got shout outs in the comments). And McDonald's trailed with three votes.
