The Black Royals quickly came back and then took the lead during William Tennent High School's Black and White Night's aquatic events Thursday evening.
The White Legends were in the lead following Wednesday's academic competition, but the Black Royals quickly built their score up high enough to take the lead during the Pool Night portion of WTHS' Black and White Night competition Thursday. The final score for the evening: Black 150, White 128. Gym Night this evening will close out this year's Black and White Night festivities. The fun begins this evening at 6:30 p.m. in the WTHS Gymnasium. Doors open for seating at 5:30 p.m. Opening Ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 6:15 p.m. Check out the official score card from Thursday's activities in the photo gallery.

Syncro performances during the Pool Night portion of William Tennent High School's Black and White Night competition were capped off by a prom proposal.

The annual competition ended with games and dance routines in the high school gymnasium.
It all came down to the final event as the White Avengers took home victory in this year's Black and White Night competition at William Tennent High School by winning the Tug of War contest Friday night. Gym Night was a rowdy event as students, teachers and parents filled the stands of the gymansium to cheer on the Black Jedi and White Avengers as they took on challenges such as the Obstacle Course, Speed Pyramid and Volleyball.

The Black Jedi and White Avengers faced off in the second round of competitions for Black and White Night.
William Tennent High School's three-day Black and White Night competition continued with Thursday's Pool Night. Both teams surrounded the school's swimming pool and cheered on their teammates during various challenges, including the obstacle course, inner tube relay race and the synchronized swimming performances. Black and White Night concludes tonight with Gym Night at the Tennent gymnasium at 6:15 p.m.

The high school auditorium had a game show atmosphere as each team tried to outsmart the other.
It's not every day you see a crowded auditorium filled with teenagers cheer ferociously over a game of chess. When the player for the Black Jedi scored a checkmate in the speed chess round, his teammates erupted as if he had just swished the game-winning shot. Every point counts during the three-day Black and White Night competition at William Tennent High School, and victories like these will help the Black Team repeat as champions. "That's the great thing about the academic part of Black and White Night," said Brian Bassler, an English teacher at Tennent. "Students who aren't on an athletic team get to hear their names chanted.
