Trash Collection Moved to Saturday in Southampton

Due to Hurricane Sandy, trash will be collected on Saturday.

Cleaning out the fridge after losing power? Don't haul those cans to the curb just yet. Trash will not be collected in the township on Friday. The township recently posted a notice on their website stating trash collection in Southampton has been moved to Saturday, due to the storm.

Earlier this evening, the chairman of the township's board of supervisors suggested that residents call the township building tomorrow if your yard waste has not been collected. The number is 215-322-9700.   more ›

Southampton Free Library Reopens After Sandy

The library reopened Thursday morning with limited services.

Getting stir-crazy from sitting inside with no power? Need somewhere to take the kids on the day off from school? Power was restored to the Southampton Free Library overnight Wednesday, and the library reopened Thursday morning. According to a post on the library's facebook page, the library is open but the computers are down so Internet access is unavailable.
