Bio : After graduating from Temple University with a bachelor's degree in journalism, Jennifer began her career as an on-air television news reporter and anchor for KUMV-TV, an NBC affiliate in Williston, North Dakota. After returning to the east coast, she worked in different capacities for several media outlets. She also obtained a master's degree in education from St. Joseph's University and taught for the School District of Philadelphia.

Jennifer is married to her biggest fan, who coincidentally was raised in Upper Southampton Township.  She loves surprising him with interesting factoids about his hometown on a near-daily basis. Together they have two beautiful daughters, who bring them much joy and laughter.

When she has the opportunity, Jennifer loves to travel. She also likes to read, to sew and to do anything and everything with her family.

Your Beliefs

At Patch, we promise always to report the facts as objectively as possible and otherwise adhere to the principles of good journalism. However, we also acknowledge that true impartiality is impossible because human beings have beliefs. So in the spirit of simple honesty, our policy is to encourage our editors to reveal their beliefs to the extent they feel comfortable. This disclosure is not a license for you to inject your beliefs into stories or to dictate coverage according to them. In fact, the intent is the opposite: we hope that the knowledge that your beliefs are on the record will cause you to be ever mindful to write, report and edit in a fair, balanced way. And if you ever see evidence that we failed in this mission, please let us know.

Politics

I'm registered for a political party, but only because I think it is important to vote in all elections – even the primaries. I vote for a person, not a party.

Religion

I consider myself spiritual but not necessarily religious. I don't have anything against organized religion, I just have yet to find the one that suits me.

Local Hot-Button Issues

I'm still getting to know my way around Upper Southampton, but there sure are a lot of houses! I hope the township can find ways to begin implementing their newly updated comprehensive plan. We could all benefit from a little more 'green' in our lives.

My husband has been trying for years to sell me on the idea that Upper Southampton has a theme song. If there is any truth to this, please find me and sing me a verse. I would love to hear it.
