Police: Drunk Driving Caused Deadly Street Road Motorcycle Crash

Police said John Edel, the operator of the motorcycle, had a blood alcohol level 2.5 times the legal limit at the time of the accident.

The accident investigation revealed that John Edel disregarded a steady red traffic signal located at the intersection of Knowles Avenue while traveling on Eastbound Street Road.

Witness interviews provided information that Edel entered the intersection at least two seconds after the traffic signal had changed to red.

Furthermore, Edel had a blood alcohol content of 0.205% which is 2 ½ times the legal limit in Pennsylvania while operating the motorcycle.
