Severe Thunderstorm Watch in Effect

Don't put that umbrella away just yet!

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch for several Pennsylvania counties, including Bucks, Montgomery and Philadelphia, lasting until 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Southampton is expected to see scattered showers and thunderstorms this evening. The NWS is saying some of the storms could produce small hail, gusty winds, heavy rain, and frequent lightning.

Here's a look at the extended forecast:

Tonight: Scattered showers and thunderstorms before 11pm, then a slight chance of showers between 11pm and 2am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. West wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms. 

Wednesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. West wind between 7 and 13 mph. 

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62. West wind around 8 mph becoming north. 

Thursday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 82. Northwest wind between 7 and 9 mph. 

Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58. 

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 84. 

Friday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. 

Saturday: Partly sunny, with a high near 87. 

Saturday Night: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 68. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

Sunday: A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
