“What we do on a regular basis is to ask the law enforcement community, the fire community and the general population to support the hero’s scholarship as best they can,” said McCann. “Officer Warrell has really stepped up to the plate.”
The Bucks County Heroes Scholarship Fund was formed in 1990 to provide scholarships for the children of emergency services personnel who are killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty.
According to McCann, during the fund's existence more than $600,000 has been raised for scholarships for the children of fallen heroes across Bucks County.
