Voter Guide: Announcing the Candidates

Patch takes a peek at those who have thrown their hat in the ring for an elected position representing Upper Southampton Township.

Tuesday was the last day for those interested in seeking an elected position representing Upper Southampton Township to file the necessary paperwork.

The names listed below have all filed nomination petitions with the county.

Candidates are listed in the order in which they filed their paperwork with the Bucks County Board of Elections. Names of incumbent candidates are italicized.

Upper Southampton Township Board of Supervisors (2 available seats)

Stephen Wallin (R) Supervisor, 2-year term

Marguerite Genesio (R) Supervisor, 6-year term

Upper Southampton Township Board of Auditors

Gerald Crandley (R) Auditor, 6-year term

Centennial School Board (2 available seats for Upper Southampton/ Region 1)

David Shaffer (R) 4 year term

Mark Miller (D & R) 4 year term

Flemming Godiksen (D & R) 4 year term

Celina Cancelliere (D) 4 year term

 

This list remains unofficial until the board of elections completes its review of the nomination packets.

The signatures collected for a candidate's nomination can be challenged until Tuesday, March 15. Candidates who filed nomination petitions can withdraw from the race up until Wednesday,  March 23.

 

Some important dates for voters:

Last day to register before the primary elections:  Monday, April 18

Municipal Primary Elections:  Tuesday, May 17
